Our story
Built for those who never fit the frame.
Heretic was created by Kirby van Beek as more than a tattoo studio. It was built as a private place for art, skin, story and people who never felt at home in ordinary rooms.
Before Heretic, Kirby studied forensics and worked alongside a forensic pathologist. That world shaped the way she looks: at anayomy, detail, mortality, contrast, skin and the quiet story a body can carry.
After years of tattooing realism, portraits and darker subjects, Kirby wanted to create a place that did not feel like a standard tattoo shop. No walk-in chaos. No trend machine. No white walls without soul.
Heretic became that place: a private atelier in Raamsdonksveer where dark realism tattoos, portrait work, memento mori, laser tattoo removal, art and atmosphere exist under one roof.

Kirby van beek
Kirby creates dark romantic realism tattoos, realistic portraits, animal portraits, memento mori, horror tattoos and large-scale black and grey pieces.
Before becoming a full-time tattoo artist, Kirby studied forensic science and worked in a mortuary. That background still influences her work through anatomy, contrast, mortality, detail and the beauty of what remains.

MARCO SMITS
Marco specialises in professional laser tattoo removal with a focus on unwanted tattoos, tattoo fading and cover-up preparation.
His approach is clear and honest, assess the tattoo, explain what is realistic, build a treatment plan and guide you through the process.
Expect clear explanations, lots of jokes and a no-bullshit approach - professional where it matters, relaxed where it helps.
